 Mission Statement

To increase education and promote awareness regarding breastfeeding across the Commonwealth of Kentucky; to ultimately raise the breastfeeding percentage across the Commonwealth of Kentucky, resulting in healthier mothers and children; to gently advocate that breastfeeding is natural and normal, and should be considered as such.

We welcome ALL past, present and future breastfeeding mothers.  From Kentucky or anywhere!

On July 12, 2006,  KRS 211.755 became law!  Many thanks to the Kentuckians who teamed up in hopes of seeing the rights of breastfeeding mothers and children protected.

Come to our very active BFKY Forum to see the dates/times of our monthly meetings, discuss breastfeeding, parenting, nutrition, health, and so much more!  It's also a great place to just unwind and have fun with other parents!
